who we are

Davis Thompson-Moss is Crown Heights Healing’s creator and teacher. While working at the United Nations, Davis began to use Art as a means of expression and connection. He moved to Brazil and began collaborating with Artists, teaching and producing photography exhibitions in the Sao Paulo Favela, Parque Bristol. He returned to NYC to get his MFA from Bard College integrating performance art, photography, and physical art practices. He enjoyed a dance career with the New York City Mambo groups, La Tormenta Oriental and Latin Jazz Ensemble and currently dances with The Stanley Love Performance Group.

He is a certified Reiki practitioner from the Open Center in NYC and a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor.  In 2019 he opened a community yoga studio in Crown Heights Brooklyn called Crown Heights Healing and leads sound experiences throughout the city.
